Vacuum tube solar thermal utilization system

The vacuum double glass tube, which collects heat through the power of vacuum and CPC reflectors, enables high-temperature solar heat of up to 200°C even in mid-winter.

The inner surface of a vacuum double glass tube is coated with a selective absorption film that converts sunlight into heat, and when sunlight is irradiated onto the glass tube, the temperature inside the tube rises to about 200°C. Because the gap between the double glass tubes is a vacuum, the interior of the glass tube is unaffected by the outside temperature, allowing it to collect high temperatures even in winter. Furthermore, a CPC reflector that concentrates sunlight is attached to the back of the glass tube, maximizing the amount of heat collected per installation area. There are flat plate, heat pipe vacuum tube, and U-pipe vacuum tube types of solar thermal collectors, but the "Solaris," which has a CPC reflector and uses the U-pipe vacuum tube type, has the highest heat collection amount per installation area. Various solutions are developed using this solar thermal collector as a heat source. One application is as a supplementary heat source for hot water boilers in facilities with high hot water demand, such as elderly care facilities, hospitals, and public baths. Another application is for central air conditioning in office buildings, large commercial facilities, and schools. Solar heat is also used in air conditioning systems for cooling, heating, and dehumidification. To prevent global warming, it is essential to create a society that minimizes the use of fossil fuels, and solar thermal utilization systems can significantly contribute to the protection of the global environment.

Cold in summer and warm in winter? The now-popular renewable energy, sewage heat.

Abundant unused energy exists within the city! It demonstrates energy-saving effects and CO2 reduction effects.

Wastewater discharged from homes and factories is transported through sewer pipes to treatment facilities, where it is treated and then released into the sea or rivers. Since these sewer pipes are buried underground, they are less affected by external temperatures, resulting in wastewater that is "cold in summer and warm in winter." The thermal energy from the temperature difference between wastewater and outside air is referred to as "wastewater heat," which can be utilized as a heat source for heating, hot water supply, and snow melting, thereby achieving energy-saving effects and reducing CO2 emissions. Although it is stable and abundant, there are still few examples of its implementation, and its promotion is expected to increase with the advancement of decarbonization as a renewable energy source. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.*

Geothermal Facility Introduction Case: Oyabe City Kanitani Children's Garden (Toyama Prefecture)

Expecting the effects of peak power reduction! Children with high activity levels can comfortably spend the whole year.

At Kaniyama Children's Garden, unlike the Pacific side, we believe it is difficult to benefit from solar energy during the cold winter, and we have been exploring systems that utilize natural energy. Through air circulation, we can maintain clean air, which I think is a suitable system for the children's garden, so we introduced the "Geo Power System." During the hot summer months, we are able to spend comfortably in low humidity and refreshing air by utilizing the EHP integrated into the system. Additionally, we particularly appreciate its benefits in winter, gradually raising the temperature settings for the heat storage layer once we start to feel the chill. [Reasons for Implementation] - There is a heat storage layer under the floor, allowing for comfortable air conditioning in the space where the children are. - By utilizing late-night hours for heat storage, we also expect to achieve peak power cut effects. - Air circulation helps maintain clean air. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us. [Case Study of Geothermal Heat Facility] Service-Provided Housing for the Elderly - Kenseikan

Introducing examples adopted with the aim of considering users who are not comfortable with air conditioning!

The service-equipped housing for the elderly, Ken Seikan, was selected for the FY 2011 project "Service-Equipped Housing for the Elderly" (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) and opened in October 2012. It has become one of the largest facilities in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, attracting attention. By creating a comfortable nursing facility with good air quality, we hope to encourage elderly residents who tend to stay in their rooms to come out and interact. To this end, we introduced the "GEO Power System" in the day service area on the first floor. This system was adopted to consider users who are sensitive to air conditioning, reduce the unique odors of nursing facilities, and lower running costs by reducing the load on the air conditioning. Staff members have expressed surprise, saying, "The air in the day service area is fresh," and "I don't notice any food odors." [Case Overview] ■ Purpose: Consideration for users who are sensitive to air conditioning, reduction of unique odors in nursing facilities, and reduction of running costs by decreasing air conditioning load. ■ Completion: September 2012 Published in the GEO Power System newsletter "Wind of the Earth" No. 274 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Reclaimed Water Utilization System 'REQ'

Clean the wastewater from the combined treatment septic tank with the reclaimed water treatment tank and reuse it for toilet flushing!

Reclaimed water is situated between "tap water," which is used for normal daily life, and "sewage," which is discharged during daily activities. The reclaimed water utilization system cleans wastewater and reuses it for purposes such as toilet flushing. This system is being adopted in areas with discharge regulations and among those who are highly concerned about environmental protection. Additionally, when combined with on-site power generation facilities, it can be utilized even during power outages. Its implementation is increasing in convenience stores and other locations as a lifeline during disasters. *Note that a maintenance contract is required for the reclaimed water utilization system. 【Benefits】 ◎ Fully automated ◎ Clean water quality ◎ Effective use of limited water resources ◎ Contributes to achieving SDGs ◎ Reduction in water and sewage disposal costs ◎ Low running costs and easy maintenance ◎ Subsidy programs may be available in some regions *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
